“Call up, ring once, hang up the phone
To let me know you made it home
Don’t want nothing to be wrong with part-time lover.”

So said Stevie Wonder in his 80s hit Part-time Lovers. This doesn’t really apply to Paddy Power’s new Partial Cash Out function other than the word “part” and the fact that you’re going to love it. Still, it’s never a bad thing to drop some Wonder lyrics in to the mix to get the party started.

If you don’t already know about Cash Out then let me school you real quick.

The original Cash Out function allows you to place a bet, single or multiple, and then when the event or events have already started you can cash out your bet before the results are known. A kind of in-running tap-out.

Which is very handy when your Spidey senses start a-tingling five minutes, telling you that backing Newcastle to beat, well, anyone possibly wasn’t the safest opening leg of a ten-fold accumulator. Before they go several goals behind and lose you all of your money you can essentially cancel the bet and have some or all of your original stake returned to your account immediately. Cash Out payments will vary from bet to bet.

However, it is also true that the sun must shine on a dog’s backside some days so maybe you’d like to let at least a part of your original bet ride.

Partial Cash Out allows you to cash out anywhere from 1% to 100% of your original bet. Meaning you can get money back in your account before the results are known and still have your original bet, now with a reduced stake.

Is that having your cake and eating it too? We think so. Nom, nom, nom.

Basically our goal is to give you as much control over your bets as possible. If you think you’ve made a massive mistake on your selections but the event has already started, Cash Out the lot and place a new bet.

Maybe you’re just not certain, you’ve allowed the pub banter to introduce a few doubts to your previously flawless selection system. In that case use Partial Cash Out to split your bet. Let part of your bet ride, cash out the rest and hopefully make some better selections. If not, well you can cash out that one too.
